All of the guitars, amplifiers and effects pedals that they have for sale are second hand, meaning that you can pick up a few bargain and obscure items. Another bonus of this shop is that they will modify your guitar in any way you want, even if that means pick-up and neck changes, truss-rod adjustments, action alterations or valve-amp repairs. All the staff working in this shop are also working musicians so if you’re not sure if you’re new rig is going to stand up to live to play, they are definitely the people to ask. Hobgoblin was formed in 1996 as a stall in Sussex & has since been opening branches all over the country. In 1992 they opened a second branch in London. Since then they have opened up in Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, Wadebridge, Birmingham, Canterbury, Brighton, and the newest shop Southampton opened in 2015. They hope to add more branches in the future in the pursuit of their aim to make real acoustic instruments as widely available as possible.
